This is an early cut of the title track of my next album... The song's inspired loosely by the story of the sons of Lir, and their sister's painful task of spinning nettle-flax into shirts to free them from their curse.

There are as many tellings of this tale as there are waves in the sea, and mine goes its own way entirely - but this is a song I'm enjoying perfornming more and more, and the finished recorded version will, I believe, be something special.

about

Green and political contemporary folk with a warm and whimsical heart... voice, guitar and bouzouki and rather a way with words.
